About Aikido – Philippines

            A Japanese national by the name of Tadashi Komenoi came to the Philippines in 1988 for a five-year tour of duty under the Kawasho Corporation. Serendipitously, Mr. Komenoi was also a 3rd Dan practitioner of Aikido who joined sessions at the Makati YMCA Aikido Dojo and eventually became its Chief Instructor.  Mr. Komenoi also shared his expertise with several other dojos such as the Red Tiger Aikido Club (now Takemusu), Quezon City Aikido Club (now Tachi Kaze Dojo), Shinbu Aikido Dojo and the Makiling Aikido Dojo.   Read More…
